  • See the business potential: Sahara traveled the world to experience freedom and happiness, engaging in deep conversations with the people she met. Then, she realized she could turn what she loved doing into a business that helped others do the same.
  • Look for gaps: Sahara found her content tilt after researching the travel and coaching industry and recognizing the potential of a travel wellness coach. Later, she expanded her coaching business to add a certification line and a community component, which was missing in other programs, to help travel coaches sustain and grow their businesses.
  • Turn popular content into paid products: Listening to her audience, Sahara turned her two most popular blog posts into her first paid content product – a book: Hey You, Just Go!: 80 Countries by Age 30! A Guide to Designing Your Dream Lifestyle Even if You’re Broke, Scared, or Don’t Have Time.

  • Supportive businesses: 2024 M&A activity in the creator economy may indicate what’s ahead for 2025 – investment in the support sector. In 2024, big deals included Agentio, a creator marketing platform; Beehiiv, a newsletter app; Flip, a shopping app; and ElevenLabs, an AI firm. [Business Insider]
    Tilt Take: As new platforms and services enter the market, pay attention to who you’re dealing with. What happens to your accounts if they’re sold or close up shop?
  • Still ticking: One industry leader says TikTok’s ban could cripple the creator economy, especially since some creators earn 75% of their income through the app. TikTok execs estimate the impact could be $1.3B in the first month. [ZDNet]

  • Buy this: Meta now features affiliate links more prominently in creators’ Reels, videos, photos, and text posts. They used to be limited to URLs in captions.   • Easier view: Google advertisers can now see a new dashboard with consolidated insights into reach and frequency across campaigns. The Brand Report allows filters based on age, gender, and other on-target demographics. [Search Engine Land]
    Tilt Take: One-stop shopping for analytics is a welcome move and should make creators who advertise more likely to examine the results.
