Creators with Discord communities may be able to monetize their servers directly through the platform. A pilot of 10 creators now can add content or access available only to those with Discord premium memberships. (The Verge; h/t Esben in Tilt Discord)
Tilt Take: Exclusive access to paid members isn’t new. But soon, creators may not have to connect their Discord servers to their Patreon, YouTube, Twitch, etc. accounts and follow their revenue splits. (Discord plans to do a 90-10 split in favor of creators.)
